Yes. Safe Harbor is a law practice. When you engage us for an FTC Compliance Review, you receive legal counsel under an attorney-client relationship. Your review and report are protected by attorney-client privilege. Note that submitting a contact form or having a free call does not create that relationship — it begins when we sign a formal engagement letter.

The FTC Compliance Review is designed for small businesses that market and sell products or services online. This includes coaches, consultants, course creators, agencies, e-commerce brands, SaaS/membership businesses, and wellness companies. If you use testimonials, run subscriptions, make marketing claims, or collect customer data, this review is relevant to your business.

The flat fee covers a comprehensive review of your website, sales funnels, marketing materials, testimonials and endorsements, subscription/billing practices, advertising claims, and privacy-related representations. You receive a written report with specific findings, risk ratings, and plain-English recommendations you can act on. An optional follow-up call to walk through the report is included.

Implementation support is available as a separate engagement. After receiving your report, you can choose to have us help with things like rewriting marketing copy, drafting disclosures, creating testimonial policies, or restructuring billing flows. We scope implementation work separately so you only pay for what you need.

The standard FTC Compliance Review is a point-in-time assessment. For businesses that want ongoing compliance support — such as reviewing new campaigns, monitoring regulatory changes, or periodic re-reviews — we offer ongoing advisory arrangements. We can discuss this during your free call if it's something you're interested in.

Our practice is focused on small and growing businesses. If your business has a large marketing operation with many brands, product lines, or a complex regulatory footprint, you may need a larger firm. We're happy to make a referral if that's the case. For most online businesses doing under $10M in revenue, our review is a strong fit.

Most engagements begin within 1–2 weeks of the signed engagement letter and payment. Turnaround for the full review is typically 10–15 business days from the time we receive your materials. Exact timing depends on the scope of your materials and our current volume.

No. Submitting a contact form, booking a free call, or reaching out by email does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is established only after we've both agreed to work together and a formal engagement letter has been signed. Until then, please be mindful about sharing sensitive information.

A free call is a short (typically 15–20 minute) phone or video conversation where we learn about your business, discuss where you think your compliance risk might be, and determine whether the FTC Compliance Review is the right next step. There's no cost and no commitment — it's simply a conversation to see if working together makes sense.

No attorney can guarantee a specific regulatory outcome. What we can do is identify the compliance risks in your current materials, explain what the FTC's guidance requires, and give you specific recommendations to reduce your risk. Most clients find that the review significantly improves their compliance posture — but compliance is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time checkbox.

The review does not cover litigation or FTC defense, trademark/patent/IP matters, state-specific regulatory analysis, contract drafting, or ongoing compliance monitoring. Privacy policy drafting is also outside the standard scope but available as an add-on. These boundaries exist to keep the review focused and the flat fee predictable.
