About Safe Harbor

A different kind of compliance practice.

We built Safe Harbor for the businesses that most law firms overlook — the coaches, creators, consultants, and small businesses doing meaningful work online.

From the Founder

Why I built this practice

I've spent years advising businesses on advertising law, consumer protection, and FTC compliance. What I kept seeing was the same pattern: small businesses knew they needed compliance help, but the options available to them were either too expensive, too confusing, or too disconnected from how modern businesses actually work.

Large firms price out small businesses. General-practice attorneys lack the specialization. And free online advice is often incomplete or outdated.

Safe Harbor exists to fill that gap. We provide genuine legal counsel — focused specifically on FTC compliance — in a way that's accessible, practical, and built around the reality of how online businesses operate.

Every engagement is personally led, every report is personally reviewed, and every recommendation is written to be acted on. That's the commitment.

How We Work

What makes this practice different

Focused expertise

We don't try to be all things to all businesses. Our practice is focused on FTC compliance for small businesses that market and sell online. That focus means deeper knowledge and better guidance.

Founder-led engagement

You work directly with the founder and lead attorney. Your review isn't delegated to a junior associate or paralegal. The same person who understands your business writes your recommendations.

Plain-English delivery

Our reports and recommendations are written to be understood by business owners and marketing teams — not just other lawyers. If you can't act on it, it's not useful.

Flat-fee pricing

Our flagship FTC Compliance Review is $5,000 flat. You know the cost before you begin, and the scope is clear. No billable-hour surprises.

Modern business understanding

We understand funnels, webinars, membership platforms, affiliate programs, and social media marketing. We don't need you to explain how your business works before we can help.

Practical recommendations

Every finding comes with a specific, actionable recommendation. We prioritize by risk level so you know what to address first and what can wait.

Our Values

What guides how we work

Clarity over complexity

We believe compliance guidance should be clear enough that you can act on it without needing someone to interpret the interpretation.

Honesty over salesmanship

If the review isn't the right fit for your business, we'll tell you. We'd rather point you in the right direction than sell you something you don't need.

Practicality over perfection

Compliance doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. We help you make meaningful, prioritized improvements that reduce your risk in practical terms.

Respect for small businesses

Small businesses deserve the same quality of compliance guidance that large companies get — without the large-company price tag or bureaucracy.
